A form that says JPG only
Job sites, government portals, marketplaces, print kiosks. Convert the WEBP and upload the JPG.
Free extension for Chrome
Click the WEBP to JPEG Converter icon and its page opens in a tab. Drag and drop one WEBP file or a whole batch, and each comes back as a JPG in your Downloads folder. It runs on your computer, offline. Nothing is uploaded.
Also works in Edge, Brave, Opera and other Chromium browsers.

One click on the Chrome Web Store. No account, nothing to set up.
The converter opens in a new tab, with a drop zone for your files.
Or click the zone to choose them. A JPG for each file is saved to your Downloads folder.

*.webp
Pictures saved from a shop or an image search often come as WEBP. Select them all, drop them once, and get a JPG for each.
Drop or choose several WEBP files together. Each one downloads as its own JPG, and the page tells you how many were saved.
Every JPG is saved at quality 95, so photos keep their detail.
Width and height stay exactly as in the WEBP. Nothing is cropped or scaled.
sale-banner.webp becomes sale-banner.jpg, so you can find it in your Downloads folder.
The conversion runs in the extension's own page and works offline. No file leaves your computer.
Files that aren't WEBP are skipped, and the page says how many.
Websites serve pictures as WEBP because the files are small. Save one and you get a .webp file, while many upload forms, older photo editors, office programs and print kiosks still expect JPG.
Renaming the file to .jpg changes only its name: the data inside is still WEBP, and a strict form or program still rejects it. WEBP to JPEG Converter re-encodes each file. It decodes the WEBP in your browser and writes a real JPG.
Each WEBP is converted inside the extension's page. No server of ours is involved.
Nothing to sign up for. No analytics, no telemetry.
The extension can't read the pages you visit. Its one permission is storage.
